About CD-600 EX
The CD-600 EX is a mobile dust collector in type 304 stainless steel for ATEX areas. It is designed to capture airborne dust and particulate at the source. Filtration is in two stages: a conductive, aluminised filter cartridge that captures 97% at 0.3 µm, and a HEPA afterfilter that captures 99.99% at 0.3 µm. The HEPA filter is included as standard.
It comes with a 2.2 kW motor for 400 V three-phase or a 1.5 kW motor for 230 V single-phase. Both are continuous-duty TEFC motors with thermal overload protection. It has a single Ø150 mm inlet, 1,000 m³/h and a 10 L collection drawer. All four wheels are conductive, and two have brakes.

Questions and answers
Because dust in pharmaceutical and chemical production is often fine. After the filter cartridge, which captures 97% at 0.3 µm, sits a HEPA filter that captures 99.99% at 0.3 µm. It is fitted at the factory, so the unit can be used straight away.
Both deliver 1,000 m³/h. The 400 V version has a 2.2 kW three-phase motor (4.8 A). The 230 V version has a 1.5 kW single-phase motor (12.3 A) for sites without 400 V.
The CD-600 EX is marked II 1/2GD. Externally it is category 2 (Gb/Db) and may be used in Zone 1 and 2 (gas) and Zone 21 and 22 (dust). Internally it is marked Ga/Da, i.e. category 1. It is certified to EN 17348 DT for collecting combustible dust.
Both clean the filter cartridge with a burst of compressed air from behind (reverse purge). With MRP (Manual Reverse Purge) the operator triggers the cleaning. With ARP (Automatic Reverse Purge) it happens automatically. The ARP version has -AUTO in the part number.
The CD-600 EX is built in type 304 stainless steel and has a HEPA afterfilter that captures 99.99% of particles at 0.3 µm. Tiger-Vac aerosol leak tests its HEPA systems before they leave the factory. Whether it suits your process depends on the substance and your requirements. Ask us.
TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) means the motor is completely enclosed and cooled by its own fan. This design prevents dust ingress and ensures maximum safety in ATEX environments.
The CD-600 EX is more compact (160 kg vs. 215 kg) and less powerful (1000 m³/h vs. 2000 m³/h) than the CD-1200 EX. The CD-600 EX has a HEPA afterfilter as standard, while the CD-1200 EX has twice the airflow, a dual inlet and a conductive filter cartridge without a HEPA afterfilter.
