About CD-1200 EX
The CD-1200 EX is a mobile dust collector in type 304 stainless steel for ATEX areas. It is designed to capture airborne dust and particulate in large volumes: low pressure and high airflow, 2,000 m³/h from a 4 kW TEFC motor. The filter is a conductive, aluminised cartridge, cleaned with compressed air from a 10 L tank, manually or by automatic timer. A Hemipleat® cartridge is available as an option.
The unit is marked II 1/2GD. Externally it is Ex db h IIB T4 Gb and Ex h tb IIIC T135 °C Db IP65, i.e. category 2 for Zone 1 and 2 (gas) and Zone 21 and 22 (dust). Internally it is Ex h IIC T6 Ga and Ex h IIIC T50 °C Da, i.e. category 1. It is certified to EN 17348 DT for collecting combustible dust.

Questions and answers
II means equipment for surface use, not mines. 1/2 means the unit is category 1 inside and category 2 outside. G and D mean it is certified for both gas and dust. Externally it may therefore be used in Zone 1 and 2 (gas) and Zone 21 and 22 (dust).
Both clean the filter cartridge with compressed air from a 10 L tank. With MRP (Manual Reverse Purge) the operator triggers the cleaning. With ARP (Automatic Reverse Purge) a timer controls it.
Externally it is certified for Zone 1 and 2 (gas) and Zone 21 and 22 (dust). It is a dust collector: it collects dust and particulate, not gases.
The two Ø150 mm inlets let you extract from two points at once. Alternatively, one Ø200 mm inlet serves one large extraction point.
Yes. The standard filter is a conductive, aluminised cartridge, and a Hemipleat® cartridge is available as an option. If the air needs HEPA filtration, the CD-600 EX with HEPA afterfilter is the obvious choice.
The CD-1200 EX can be operated at temperatures from -5°C to +37°C. It is important to adhere to these limits to maintain ATEX certification and ensure optimal performance.
TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) means the motor is completely enclosed and has its own cooling fan. This design prevents dust ingress and ensures maximum safety in ATEX environments.
